Part of West Granada Boulevard's beachside has been in upheaval for the past two months, but construction work on the Granada Plaza is set to be completed soon.

Michael Underwood, owner and operator of M.L. Underwood Construction, estimates the project will be finished by the end of March.

The plaza that houses Peach Valley Café, Starbucks and T.G.I. Fridays is getting a complete renovation to its exterior facade, according to Underwood.

“I just think, for the whole area, it will revitalize it,” Underwood said. “It will make it feel new and give it some energy.”

Due to the holidays, Underwood said construction has slowed down a bit. If not for that, the project would have been done sooner.

“People in and out shopping will definitely slow things down a bit," he said.
