Halifax Genealogical Society installs new board

The Halifax Genealogical Society recently installed its board for 2016-17.

Meetings are held from 1:30 to 3:45 p.m., the second Thursday of each month from September through May at the Ormond Beach Regional Library auditorium. The programs provide information for all levels of research experience. The speakers are experts in their field, many of whom are known both nationally and internationally.

Additionally, multiple small special interest groups or instructional classes cover basic genealogical research topics and follow the general session and social time at 3:15 p.m. for about 30 minutes.

The new board is as follows:

  • Treasurer: Clyde Stickney
  • Recording Secretary: Patricia Peoples
  • Corresponding Secretary: Beth Saxon
  • Director of Publicity: Bernardette Zappala
  • Webmaster and Recent Past President: Linda Vivian
  • Director Special Interest Groups and Education Programs: Becky Berman
  • Director of Membership: Kathy Stickney
  • Archivist: Jean Hallenbeck
