Three dogs and one cat have been featured as this week's Halifax Humane Society Adoptable Pets of the Week.

The first is Penelope, a 4-year-old terrier and American Staffordshire mix dog with a brown and white coat. She is a Dolly's Dream Dog, meaning her adoption fee is waived. She also comes with over $400 worth of supplies and services. While a bit shy at first, Penelope makes a great companion once she is comfortable with you. She has been with the Halifax Humane Society since June 26.

The second is Bowser, a 3-year-old terrier and American Staffordshire mix dog with a black and white coat. He is just past the puppy stage and is ready to be a trusted and loyal companion. He has been with the Halifax Humane Society since Oct. 29, and his adoption fee costs $70.

The third is Buster, a 6-year-old terrier and American Staffordshire mix dog with a brindle and white coat. Buster is an energetic dog that in his kennel, will jump and bark quite a bit, but once out, is a very good dog. He has been with the Halifax Humane Society since Sept. 8, and his adoption fee is $35.
