Four dogs have been featured as this week's Halifax Humane Society Adoptable Pets of the Week.
The first is Angelo, a 2-year-old shepherd mix dog. He is ready for a loving home and family, loves to play fetch and snuggle. His adoption fee is $70.
The second is Rocko, a 4-year-old terrier, American Staffordshire and pointer mix with a brown and white coat. His adoption fee is $70.
The third is Dakota, a 3-year-old terrier mix with a black and brown coat. Her foster mom said she is a "little dainty princess" who believes all naps must include a pillow and a blanket. She gets along great with other dogs and is in a foster home with five other dogs. She can be shy at first, but gives great snuggles. She has been sleeping in a crate at night and likes it, her foster mom said. She does have some hair loss and skin issues on her back legs and tail that are presumed to be allergies. Last but not least is Deedee, an 8-year-old American Staffordshire mix with a black coat. She is back at the shelter through no fault of her own. She has been back and forth between the Halifax Humane Society and adoptive/foster homes since June 2019. DeeDee loves to be around people and get lots of love and attention. She would do best in a single-person, single-pet home. Her adoption fee is $35.
