Take Cabeza home with you today.
Only nine dogs and seven cats currently onsite and available for adoption at the Halifax Humane Society. Before COVID-19, that number was 350 collectively. Over 200 animals are currently in foster care.
Here are this week's Adoptable Pets of the Week:
The first is a cat named Dharma, an 8-year-old domestic shorthair with a white, black and orange coat. She is a cuddly cat, but also loves to play catch with a laser or toy mouse. Her adoption fee is $35.
The second is a dog named Debo. This is his third week as a featured adoptable pet. Debo is a 5-year-old hound mix with a red and black coat. He is a naturally playful, curious and trusting canine. His adoption fee is $70.
Third is Lil Mama, a 9-year-old terrier and American Staffordshire mix with a brown and white coat. She has been at the shelter for almost five months after being surrendered in early February. She is friendly, loves to meet new people, as well as get lots of back scratches and treats. She also loves toys, but doesn't share well, so it is recommended she go to a home with no young children or other dogs. Her adoption fee costs $35.
Last but least is Cabeza, an 8-year-old terrier and American Staffordshire bulldog mix with a tan and white coat. He is very friendly and loves kids, and loves sleeping in the same bed as his family. It is recommended he be the only dog in the home. His adoption fee is $35. Cabeza is available to foster as well, and those interested should call 274-4703, ext. 331 or email [email protected]
