Four dogs have been featured as this week's Halifax Humane Society Adoptable Pets of the Week.

The first is Mae, a 5-year-old terrier, American Staffordshire and Black Mouth Cur mix with with a brown coat. She came to the shelter as a stray in early August, and is always excited to receive treats and attention from everyone she sees. The Halifax Humane Society highly suggests she go to a home where is she is the only dog in the house, or that a dog introduction be done at the shelter prior to adoption. Her adoption fee is $70.

The third is DeeDee, an 8-year-old terrier and American Staffordshire mix with a black coat. She is a nice dog that will be very loyal to her owner. She would not do well in a family setting, but is a great fit for a single person who needs a companion. Her adoption fee is $35.
