It was all about catching waves on Saturday. Garrett Marshall led the way.

Dark skies covered the ocean on Saturday, in Ormond Beach, as young surfers took to the waves as part of Gnarly Charley’s Surf Series.
The series is for aspiring surfers, ages 10-14. There are assisted and non-assisted divisions, as well as a longboard division.
The series features 12 events that run April through October, with all of the competitions taking place on the east coast of Florida and South Carolina.
The next series event will be July 18, in New Smyrna Beach.
