One of The Casements Guild’s first and longest serving members, Elisa Wiedemann celebrated her 100th birthday March 27, at a potluck lunch at The Casements, attended by about 70.

Former president of the guild and a member since 1979, Wiedemann presents “Thoughts of the Day” at every meeting and helps out with the weekly crafters group. She also volunteers at the hospital, the Museum of Arts and Sciences and Family Renew’s Secret Attic.

Wiedemann’s birthday also corresponds with The Casements centennial, which will be official in October.

“I came with the house,” she often says of The Casements.
