Holy Child Episcopal Church, at 1225 W. Granada Blvd., will celebrate its 50th year in Ormond Beach next spring. But already, administrators are planning the festivities.
“During the month of April 2013, we will commemorate, honor and celebrate the 50 years of life shared in (this) church,” officials wrote, in a recent newsletter.
One of the ways the church intends to remember the past 50 years is by compiling a list of as many of its past members who have died as possible, to honor them in a dedication ceremony.
“We’re looking for those who have worshipped at Church of the Holy Child over the years but are no longer with us,” officials said. Submissions are to be turned in to Deacon Madelyn, or called in, to 672-4470.
Other April actives are listed as follows:
April 7 — Kids’ Sunday
April 14 — Community Sunday
April 21 — Memorial Sunday
April 28 — Celebration Sunday
The church will also hold a parish-wide fundraiser 2-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, with all proceeds set to benefit the anniversary celebration next year. Tickets are $10; $5 for children; free to kids 2 and under.
