Landsea Homes Corp. announced on Tuesday, Sept. 7, that it had closed on 20 more homesites at Bulow Creek Preserve, part of Halifax Plantation in Ormond Beach.
According to a press release, Bulow Creek Preserve, a gated community, consists of 32 acres between Bulow Creek State Park and the 16th hole in Halifax Plantation. Residents will also have access to the golf course.
“It’s easy to see why homebuyers are drawn to Bulow Creek Preserve, with its championship golf course and array of other exciting amenities,” said Jed Lowry, corporate vice president of the Florida and NYC Metro Divisions of Landsea Homes. “We’re excited to expand our homebuilding and sales presence in this community and the Ormond Beach market.”
According to the homebuilder’s website, current homes for sale start at over $430,000.
New model homes will be available to tour this fall.
There are seven residential projects that have submitted site plans to the city. They are: Plantation Oaks phases 1 and 2; the Courtyards at Ormond; Ormond Grande, Pineland phases 4 and 5, the Cupola at Oceanside, the Tymber Creek Apartments; and Tattersall at Tymber Creek, which is proposed to be a 146-lot single family subdivision at the northwest corner of Tymber Creek and Airport Road.
The Volusia County School Board will have an emergency meeting at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 9, at at the DeLand Administrative Complex at 200 North Clara Ave. in DeLand.
The board will discuss its mandatory face covering policy. It will be open to the public.

The city of Ormond Beach’s Economic Development Department will host a session of the Kauffman FastTRAC program starting Sept. 18.
The program is a “flexible course with a framework to provide information, tips, exercises and tools to help aspiring entrepreneurs think about and build their business from idea to launch,” according to a press release.
The city has partnered with with Volusia/Flagler SCORE Vice President Adrienne Barker, who will host the 10-week program.
The program will run through Nov. 20.
The Ormond Beach Planning Board meeting scheduled for Sept. 9 has been canceled.
The board’s next meeting is scheduled for Oct. 14.
