Humane society hopes to top $85,000, through Fur Ball Gala

The third-annual Fur Ball Gala, hosted by the Halifax Humane Society, aims to raise $85,000 this year. Auction items wanted.

The Halifax Humane Society is thinking big for its 2012 Fur Ball Gala, being held Dec. 6, at the Ocean Center, 101 N. Atlantic Ave.

With a goal of raising $85,000, the third-annual dinner and dance boasts more than 800 guests and will feature silent and live auctions, entertainment, cocktails and a chocolate lounge, with 15 dessert vendors.

The event is still seeking auction donors, and all companies to donate an item for auction will be featured in the gala’s program and be recognized at the event.
