The Ormond Beach Police Department were notified that the missing Jacksonville man, who went missing on Aug. 7 after last seen buying food at the Ormond Beach McDonald’s on US 1, was found alive in South Florida.

Calvin Wade Lincomfelt, 44, was located in Hollywood, Fla., on Sunday, Aug. 13, after being missing for six days.

OBPD reported that Lincomfelt left his residence in Jacksonville in the morning to go work in Edgewater, Fla. He texted his wife in the early afternoon, informing he would be back home around 3 p.m. However, after failing to return home, his wife checked their bank activity and saw Lincomfelt bought food at the McDonald’s located on US 1 at 2:23 p.m.

His wife then drove to the McDonald’s, where she contacted police. Video surveillance from McDonald’s showed Lincomfelt buying food at the drive-thru and then leave the property.

That was the last time he was seen until he was found in Hollywood, Fla., by local police. Hollywood Police told OBPD Lincomfelt checked himself into Memorial Regional Hospital. He knew who he was, but was unable to tell hospital staff where he had been for the past few days or what he had been doing. OBPD reported Lincomfelt's wife said he didn't suffer from any physical or mental disabilities when she first notified his disappearance.

Hospital staff looked up his name online and found the news reports and social media posts about Lincomfelt's disappearance, and contacted local police.
