Flags for heroes

The Daytona Beach West Rotary Club recently organized Flags for Heroes, an event where flags were on display at Riverwalk Park in Port Orange, and each represented a local hero — military, first responder or personal hero.

The flags were on display until Nov. 13. The flag sponsorships provided the Rotary Club with funding to continue to fund projects like Happy Dollars, its support of ArtHaus and international service projects like the Chai Primary School in Kenya.
