The Planning Board, at the Oct. 10 meeting, approved comprehensive plan amendments to state that the 15-acre property at the northwest corner of Airport Road and West Granada Boulevard will be used for utility purposes as needed by the city. The second states that the 38-acre area site at the northeast corner of Airport Road and West Granada Boulevard will be available for use as a natural resource park for passive recreation. For the land to be developed as a park, the city would need to approve funding and the matter would go through city board and City Commission approvals.

In other administrative action, the Planning Board amended the comprehensive plan to include the annexation of Plantation Oaks, including land use maps and interlocal agreements. City zoning will be assigned at a later date.

The City Commission will hear these items Nov. 19.
