Dear editor,
What should have been an interesting group participation for banner design in Ormond Beach was, as always, done by MainStreet hiring a consultant to develop a totally meaningless whimsical product at the direction of the city manager, to be signed off by the City Commission without so much as a fare-thee-well. Peer review, residents get a view or choice — not here with all the reaching out, open government and citizens' input.
Unfortunate the new banners could not be published for citizen review prior to approval by the commission.
Maybe put some banners on the floating dock?
