Four local Florida hospitals filled more than 50 boxes full of notebooks, pencils, glue sticks and other school supplies for The Jewish Federation of Volusia and Flagler counties.

From the beginning of June until the end of July, hospital staff at Ormond Beach's Florida Hospital Oceanside, Palm Coast's Florida Hospital Flagler, Daytona Beach's Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center and Florida Hospital New Smyrna in New Smyrna Beach donated enough school supplies to help 7,000 students.

The hospital staff also collected medical supplies like band-aids and tissues to help school clinics in both Flagler and eastern Volusia County.
