Man refuses to return German Sheppard puppy

April 14 

Puppy-napped 

3 p.m —1200 Block of West Granada Boulevard. 

Grand Theft. In an attempt to obtain training for his German Sheppard puppy, the victim went to Petco. The staff called the suspect, who has experience with animal rescues, to come to the store.

The victim agreed for the suspect to take the puppy on a temporary basis for training, but that he wanted the puppy back. To date, the victim hasn't gotten his puppy back and does not know where it is. 

The suspect told police that the victim surrendered the puppy and that he took the puppy to a new home, but wouldn't tell officers where that was. 

May 8 

Beer run 

4:30 p.m. — 1400 Block of West Granada Boulevard. 

Petit Theft. The manager of Publix was alerted after a suspicious man was seen pushing a shopping cart filled with unpaid beer. 

Wearing a dark shirt and a bucket hat, the suspect placed around the checkout area until he passed all registers and made no attempts to pay. The manager followed the male into the parking lot where he loaded the beer, valued at $100, into a black Mazda. The manager was able to take photos of the suspect. 

May 18 

Sweet tooth 

7:30 a.m. — 100 Block of Magnolia Drive. 

Petit Theft. The victim told police that her vehicle had been ransacked, but only seven Dum Dum Lollipops were missing. Neighbors advised the victim that their dogs were parking around 3:45 that morning. The lollipops are valued at $1 each.
