Police are looking for a suspect who robbed a 7-11 in Ormond Beach May 13.

A white male subject with black hair walked into the store and attempted to conceal his face by pulling his shirt over his head. According to the Ormond Beach Police Department, the suspect asked the clerk if there was money in the register and then quickly reached into his pants.

The clerk feared for her safety, believing the suspect had a weapon and ran towards the back office. The suspect jumped over the counter and stole the cash register drawer and left.

At approximately 3:50 a.m., officers responded to the convenience store, located at 1950 W. Granada Blvd., and found the cash register drawer, with no money in it, in the parking lot of the shopping center to the east.

Anyone who may have information regarding this incident is asked to contact Detective Shane Jarrell at 677-0731 or [email protected]. Anyone who wishes to remain anonymous can call Crimestoppers at 277-TIPS or toll-free at 1-888-277-TIPS. Those who provide information to Crimestoppers can qualify for a reward of up to $1,000.
