Face coverings are still required on Votran buses and in facilities, announced the county in a press release on Tuesday, May 4.

Gov. Ron DeSantis issued two executive orders on Monday, May 3, that called for the suspension and invalidation of all remaining local COVID-19 emergency orders, but the county states that these orders don't supersede the Transportation Security Administration's face mask requirement, which was recently extended across all transportation networks in the U.S., including commuter buses.

Masks will continue to be required when awaiting, boarding, traveling on, or disembarking Votran buses, and when on the premises of Votran facilities.

Individuals who refuse to wear a mask will not be permitted to board the bus.
