On Monday, Nov. 13, a volunteer noticed one of the memorial park benches located in the gardens at the Ormond Memorial Art Museum was damaged and is missing its plaque, police reported.

The bench is dedicated to the memory of Leonilda Zollano D'Amico. Two of the bench's wood posts were removed and the plaque was stripped from the back rest area. It has not yet been recovered.

Police suspect the incident happened over the weekend. A full replacement would cost about $500. No suspects are known at this time.
