An Ormond Beach man was killed Monday morning after crashing his motorcycle on Airport Road.

Troy David McClure, 28, was riding his 2007 Yamaha R6 westbound on Airport Road, at an estimated 100 mph, when the Ormond Beach Police Department said he failed to negotiate a curve at the 2300 block.

The police department said there were no witnesses, but two residents reported hearing a speeding motorcycle and then a loud crash.
