Plantation Oaks of Ormond Beach, a new 55 and older community coming to North U.S. 1, could be move-in ready by early 2018.

Ron Bledso, one of the partners of Plantation Oaks, said the first phase of the development will consist of 97 manufactured homes. There will be 427 manufactured homes on 223 acres and 1,577 additional homes are planned, though Bledso says it's not certain if they'll be manufactured or conventional homes.

All homes come with a two-car garage, a front porch, and range from 1,200 square feet to 2,900 square feet. Amenities include a clubhouse with a zero-entry pool, pickleball courts, tennis courts, bocce ball, shuffleboard and horseshoe kits.

Homes are in the range of $120,000, with a $700 fee to rent the lot.

Entrance to the development will be on Broadway Avenue, which will soon be renamed Plantation Oaks Boulevard, according to Bledso. Registration forms will be available soon at plantationoaksoformondbeach.com.
