NEWS BRIEFS: Speed limit on John Anderson lowered near county line

The speed limit near the county line was reduced, the Police Community Outreach Division has moved, and more.

Reduced speed ahead

The speed limit sign on John Anderson Drive, at the county line, was changed from 35 mph to 25 mph.

Police Community Outreach Division moves

The Ormond Beach Police Department’s Community Outreach Division has moved from the Prosperity Bank building, 1259 W Granada Blvd., to a beachside location.

The division, after being at the Granada Boulevard location for approximately five years, is now located at 264 Northshore Drive, where the space is being leased for $1 per year.

The division is involved in educational and intervention-oriented programs, such as D.A.R.E. and Neighborhood Watch.
