No signs of trauma on couple found dead in I-4

The children are ‘doing well’

An autopsy performed Jan. 3 did not reveal any signs of trauma on either Daniel or Heather Kelsey, the couple that was found dead on Interstate 4 beside their car on Dec. 31.

One of the victims did test presumptive positive for the presence of drugs, but a Sheriff’s Office spokesman said he was unable to say which person tested positive or what drug was found because of the ongoing investigation.

The causes of death for each victim will be determined through the results of their full toxicology tests, the spokesman said.

Their three children, all boys, age 4 or younger, were found unharmed in the car. A friend of the family said, “They are with family and are doing well.”
