Jumped

8:30 p.m. — 1500 block of West Granada Boulevard

Battery on a law enforcement officer. A 36-year-old Orlando woman was arrested after she struck three police officers while trying run away from them. Prior to the officers' arrival, the woman — who was naked — had been jumping on vehicles parked outside a local supermarket, according to her arrest report. She cracked a vehicle's windshield and dented the hood of another.

The officers established contact with the woman once at the scene, and she was laying nude on the parking lot sidewalk. One of the officers asked her if she was okay, and if she needed help, and the woman replied "there is nothing the police can do for me." She then jumped up and the officer grabbed her arm to prevent her from running into traffic. The woman slapped his arm away and ran toward the supermarket entrance. Police grabbed her again, and during the altercation, she punched one in the nose and another on the left side of his face.

Police tased her and transported her to the hospital before taking her to jail.

Unarmed burglary. Police arrested a 45-year-old Ormond Beach man who entered a residence and stole an SD card and a $2 bill.

Police watch the man, wearing a boonie hat, walk through an open gate of the residence and then go through an opening in the fence to reach the backyard. The officer noted that the man's actions seemed suspicious. The officer followed the same path as the man, eventually finding him in the living room of the home rifling through an open dresser drawer.

The man was startled when the officer announced himself, and said his friend lived in the home. Eventually, the homeowners came home and said they didn't know him.

The man was taken to jail. Police also found methamphetamine on his person.
