Ferris wheels, bumper cars and bounce houses were just a few of the 50-plus attractions at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church’s 44th-annual Octoberfest, Friday through Sunday, Oct. 12-14.
Although the carnival draws out-of-towners, according to Jay Pack, who has co-chaired the event for the past 32 years, it’s the locals who give it its history.
"This has become our tradition,” said high school student Taylor Brown. “We keep coming. I am 15, and I’ve been coming to the festival for seven years."
“I actually got married here 18 years ago," Linda Rock said. "This is awesome. It brings the community together."
Cole Seaver & the Native Skeeter Band, and Five O’clock Charley, also performed at the event.
