The Daytona Beach Police Department arrested a 34-year-old Ormond Beach resident accused of robbing four stores of their cash register drawers since July 15.

Shane Miller, 34, was brought into custody after he robbed the Speedway gas station convenience store at 267 W. International

Speedway Blvd. in the early morning on Tuesday, July 24. According to DBPD, Miller entered the store and grabbed a can of Arizona Mucho Mango drink from a cooler under the pretense of purchasing it. When the clerk was performing the transaction, Miller grabbed the cash register drawer and fled the store with its contents, approximately $124.07, police reported.

The incident resembles two recent Ormond Beach business robberies where an unknown man also stole each

store's cash register drawer. The Ormond Beach Police Department has charged Miller for the robbery at the Circle K convenience store at 1058 N. U.S. 1 on July 22. Charges for the robbery at an Ormond Sunoco gas station on July 15 and the robbery at the Ormond beachside's CVS Pharmacy on July 21 are still pending, police reported.

Miller was arrested after his vehicle was spotted pulling up to the RaceTrac on the corner of Williamson Boulevard and LPGA Boulevard. Chelcie Darder, 27, was also arrested by DBPD for allegedly being an accessory after a robbery.
