After successfully graduating from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation's Institute for Organization Management, Ormond Beach Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Debbie Cotton is now nationally recognized in her profession.
According to a press release, Cotton's IOM graduate recognition signifies that she has completed the 96 hours of course instruction in nonprofit management for the professional development program. The U.S. Chamber Foundation's vice president of IOM, Raymond Towle, said graduates are recognized across the country as leaders in their industries and organizations.
The IOM program began in 1921 and since then has educated many association, chamber and nonprofit leaders on how to build stronger organizations, serve their members and become strong business advocates, according to the release. The program's curriculum is made up of four week-long sessions at five universities.
