Written by Ormond Beach author Thomas Ziegler, a profile of Ormond Beach illustrator Bruce Minney, along with more than 60 pieces of his work, will be featured in the March edition of Illustration Magazine, a quarterly art magazine published nationally out of St. Louis, Mo.

Minney began his 40-year commercial art career in the early 1960s, when men's adventure magazines thrived — publications like Stag, Male, For Men Only and Action For Men.

Bruce spent 15 years as a freelance magazine illustrator, painting women, gorillas, lions, airplanes and Nazis. He worked another 20 years painting covers for paperbacks. He later made storyboards for advertising agencies, as well as award-winning pottery.

He is now working on mobiles, collages and paintings.
