One Ormond Beach man and one juvenile stabbed two men on Saturday night during a premeditated physical confrontation that was the result of an attempted drug-related robbery the day before, reported the Volusia County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies reported that 19-year-old Adam Vignati and a 16-year-old boy were arrested for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon after stabbing another Ormond Beach man and a Daytona Beach resident, who is currently still in the hospital in critical condition for a collapsed lung, punctured liver and kidney. The altercation began when the two victims showed up to Vignati's residence in the 1700 block of Carolina Avenue to confront Vignati, having given him a heads-up via Snapchat.

At some point during their confrontation, Vignati and the 16-year-old boy went inside Vignati's house and retrieved knives, used to stab both victims. The juvenile told deputies it was self-defense.

Two other juveniles were at the scene, but were not involved in the stabbing. They were released to their parents by VCSO.

After the fight broke up, the two victims were found flagging down traffic at the intersection of Derbyshire Road and Alcazar Street in Daytona Beach. The men told deputies they were jumped.

At Vignati's house, deputies found a broken knife blade in the grass between his driveway and his neighbor's, as well as a blood splatter trail from his driveway. Vignati was transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail and the juvenile sent to the department of juvenile justice.

Vignati was previously arrested in August, 2017 for shooting into an occupied vehicle.
