Jeffrey Goodrich, 57, of Greenwood Avenue, was arrested Saturday on charges of aggravated battery.

Ormond Beach police officers responded to 37 Greenwood Ave., after dispatch was called for a property dispute that ending with a gunshot. Goodrich called the police to report an intruder on his property, who he identified as Jodi Butler. Goodrich reported that Butler was drunk, and that he was outside with her, and that he had his gun.

The dispatcher then heard an argument in the background of the phone call, and Goodrich said it was between Butler and his step son, James Harrington.

The dispatcher then heard the gun go off, and when police arrived, they found the victim on the ground, suffering from a single gunshot wound in the upper torso.

Goodrich, who allegedly shot her, was still on the scene, and he was taken into custody.

The victim has non-life-threatening wounds.
