Ormond Beach resident Kaleb Scharmahorn will continue to grace America's TV screens as he advances to the playoffs on The Voice after winning his knockout round on Kelly Clarkson's team on Monday, April 2.

Scharmahorn, known as Kaleb Lee on the show, performed "Free" by the Zac Brown Band in the Knockouts against fellow teammate Justin Kilgore. During the video segment showing Scharmahorn's practice on the show, season three winner Cassadee Pope called him a "true artist" while Clarkson recalled meeting his family onstage during the blind auditions.

After both his and Kilgore's performaces, Pop singer and coach Alicia Keys said Scharmahorn was continuing to show he was a force to be reckoned with while former coach Blake Shelton expressed his remorse over letting him go. The first night of the live playoffs will air on NBC at 8 p.m. on Monday, April 16.

Updated at 11:10 p.m. Tuesday with the correct date of the live playoffs. A previous version of this story stated they would air April 9.
