Ormond Beach astrologer and writer Kelly Lowe celebrated the launch of her second book at Lulu's Oceanside Grill on Wednesday, Jan. 31.

The completion of "The Sun Always Rises" signifies the end of a chapter in her life. She began writing the book, which deals with loss, a year after her husband's death due to cancer. Her first book, "An Astrologer's Journey," was written when he was first diagnosed and going through chemotherapy, and she finished it when he was in remission.

The story wasn't over yet at the end of her first book.

"It's different because my husband was still alive when I wrote the first book," Lowe said. "So it's very different. This is really a closure for me."

Her editor Gary Broughman said a few words during Lowe's book launch about how he feels the book will impact others.

"She really surprised herself and surprised me with the depth of understanding that she had that I knew would help other people suffering loss," Broughman said.

Anyone who has suffered loss, Broughman said, will find something to lift themselves up in her book.

Lowe's book is now available online at Barnes and Noble, Amazon and AstrologyTalk.com
