A few performers from Ormond Beach will host a show this weekend, to raise money for a renovation of the Daytona Playhouse.

Some Ormond Beach performers are coming together for a night of music, comedy and fundraising.

The "Olde Tyme Musical Revue," directed by Ormond Beach resident Bob Weaver, will open 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at the Daytona Playhouse, with a follow-up show at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23. All proceeds will be donated to a major renovation of the Playhouse.

"This came about as the Ormond Beach Performing Center has stopped doing the annual senior musical," said Kathy Thompson, who will be making her singing debut in the show. "So Bob Weaver asked if the talented singers from that group, along with some other Daytona singers, could do this as a fundraising event."

Some other familiar cast members include singers Jo Northrup Traywick, Cindy Simmons, Robert O. Dimsey, Betty Ebner and Pauline Roddick.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids 18 and under. Call 255-2431.
