Ormond couple celebrates 50th wedding anniversary

The Veveras have been married for 50 years.

Melvin and Patricia Vevera celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary July 24 at Halifax Plantation.

The Ormond Beach couple were married in 1964 in Chicago, IL. Melvin Vevera spent over 25 years in the law enforcement industry and Patricia Vevera is a retiree of the U.S. Postal Service. The Veveras are members of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Together they enjoy playing golf and traveling.
