Ormond Beach Police is asking the public for help in locating a 32-year-old man who attacked a woman outside the Ormond Garage on May 30.

The victim was returning from the Grind Gastropub with her friends around 1:45 a.m. that morning when she saw the man, now identified as John William Brandone, of Port Orange, leaning against her car. Police report she asked him to move and he headbutted her before throwing her on the ground, where he straddled her and delivered blows to her face. A bystander was able to pull Brandone off the woman, and Brandone fled the area before police could arrive.
