Come cheer at "The Actress," a comedy by Peter Quilter opening Feb. 3 at Daytona Playhouse, 100 Jessamine Blvd.

Get a peek backstage as friends and family invade the dressing room of an acclaimed retiring actress to say goodbye, declare their love, have a laugh, spit insults, grab a final embrace, and renew old battles. Other Ormond Beach residents are featured as Libbie Searcy plays her faithful dresser, Katherine, Nicole Linssens plays her daughter, Nicole, and J. Walker Fischer plays Charles, a wealthy old banker Lydia intends to marry.
