Thanks to the Volusia Students Create program, 140 students now have their personal artwork hanging in the Ormond Memorial Art Museum.

Selected from a total of 800 pieces from different schools around the county, the chosen artwork will be displayed in the museum until April 16. A reception for the students and their teachers and families was held March 31, and brought in a lot of a new faces to the museum.

“There’s a saying in Florida,” Museum Director Susan Richmond spoke to the crowd. “If you get sand in your shoes, it means you’ll come back somewhere. I hope you all have sand in your shoes.”
