Ormond tennis team to represent Florida in national championship

The USTA National Championship will be played Nov. 1-4 at Lake Nona.

A team of three boys and three girls from Ormond Beach won the 14-Under Intermediate Sectional Tournament at Sanlando Park in July in Altamonte Springs.

Coach Jacqueline Johnson prepared the players for months at The Shack, a fitness and tennis center located at Nova Park in Ormond Beach. The Shack tennis summer camp is sponsored by NetGeneration, the official youth tennis program of the USTA. 

The team will now move on to represent Florida against other players from around the U.S. during the Junior Team Tennis Nationals at the USTA National Championship on Nov. 1-4 at Lake Nona.
