OUR TOWN: Daytona Blues donates $35,000 to Halifax Health women's clinic

The Daytona Blues Foundation made a hefty donation April 4 to Halifax Health’s Center for Women & Infant Health.

Two checks from The Daytona Blues Foundation were recently April 4 to the Halifax Health’s Center for Women & Infant Health.

The first, for $25,000 will go toward the expansion of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Halifax. $10,000 will go to Project WARM will go to supporting mothers in recovery and their children.

“This was the Blues Festival’s fourth year and it really drew a great crowd over the three-day event,” Dr. Carbiener said. “We are thrilled to be able to donate $35K to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit expansion and Project WARM this year.”

The donations were proceeds from the 2013 Daytona Blues Festival.
