Three Ormond Beachers will be sworn into office at the Democratic Club of Northeast Volusia County.

Three Ormond Beach residents will be sworn into office at the Democratic Club of Northeast Volusia County's first meeting of the year.
President nominee and Ormond Beach resident Larry Babitt said the club has been functioning for about four years, and he hopes 2014 is successful.
"We want to give support to local candidates," Babitt said. "Presidential and state candidates swallow local campaigns, and it's not fair."
The officer installation will take place at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, at the Piccadilly Restaurant in the Volusia Mall. Incumbent President Danielle Neetz will preside during the election and installation of the 2014 officers.
The nominees are as follows:
- President: Larry Babitts (Ormond Beach)
- Vice President: Susanne Raines (Ormond Beach)
- Secretary: Mary Monk (Daytona Beach)
- Club Treasurer: Marty Price (Ormond Beach).
To join the members at the self-pay dinner, arrive at 6 p.m. All Democrats, including snowbirds, are invited to attend.
