Who says print is dead? Journalism scholarship awarded

Emergency Communications Network Marketing Manager Stephanie Myers was awarded a journalism scholarship to the University of Missouri.

Established in 1942, the Paul Synor Scholarship is awarded to graduate students who study journalism with an emphasis in strategic communication. Meyers is the first student in the online journalism master’s program to receive the scholarship.

“I began applying for management positions in my mid-20s and quickly learned I did not have the experience or the education necessary to move forward in my career,” Meyers said. A Flagler College graduate, she is currently pursuing her master’s degree.
