PACE Center gets donation
Wynn Financial Group donated $1,000 to PACE Center for Girls, located in Ormond Beach.

Humane Society to renovate building
Halifax Humane Society announced its receipt of a $150,000 grant Feb. 21 from PetSmart Charities. The grant is designed to help the organization renovate the 60-year-old main campus building.
The building will have more user-friendly facilities, enhanced adoption areas, get-acquainted rooms and more, according to a press release.
“The PetSmart Charities grant has helped us close in on our $3.6 million-dollar goal to complete this final phase of our Re-imaging the Future Capital Campaign,” said Pam Clayton, chief financial development officer. “The first phase was the addition of a public dog park, followed by the new Lee C. & Patricia Culler Boarding, Grooming and Travel Center.”

Hunt named director
Joni Hunt, of Ormond Beach, a public affairs expert, has been named the director of local government affairs and community relations for Halifax Health.
Hunt has served as director of government relations for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and most recently as director of public and government affairs at Florida Hospital – East Central Florida Region.
Hunt is an alumna of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. In 2017, she was designated a professional lobbyist by the Florida Association of Professional Lobbyists.
Benedict plans growth
Benedict Advertising & Marketing recently celebrated its 44th anniversary, and the company is forecasting its biggest year ever, according to a press release.

Family law seminar
Rice Law Firm attorneys Phil Bonamo, Beth King and Paul Rice attended the annual marital and family law seminar sponsored by the Florida Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the Florida Bar’s Family Law Section in January in Orlando. The event attracted 1600 divorce and family law attorneys and judges from around the state.
