The overwhelming demand for Peach Valley has the restaurant opening a second location on Granada Boulevard.
On any given morning or early afternoon, there’s at least a 15 minute wait at the Peach Valley Café on beachside.
The breakfast and lunch restaurant is without a doubt popular to most Ormond Beach residents with a demand so overwhelming, it’s owners decided to open a second location in the city.
“It’s almost impossible to get into Peach Valley on the weekends,” President and Chief Operating Officer for Stonewood Holdings, the company that owns Peach Valley Café Jeff Ash said. “Which is a good thing, but we noticed there is a lot of demand from the west side of Ormond Beach with all the church business and residential areas.”
The new location, 185 W. Granada Blvd., will be sitting in the spot of tapas-style restaurant The Dish. They have accompanied that space since 2009 but due to a lack of demand will be closing business April 27.
“We wanted to create something new for the area,” Dish Co-Owner and Regional Director of Operations for Peach Valley Brad Disch said. “The guests we had were phenomenal and very receptive to the concept. But the demand throughout the years has not been enough to support the restaurant.”
According to Ash, Stonewood Holdings plans on renovating the new space immediately and hopes to open the new Peach Valley Café location in 90 days. The restaurant will also sit next to Mango Sun Cafe, a similar breakfast and lunch restaurant. Though it has not been confirmed by the Mango Sun’s owner, Ash said that restaurant is going to attempt to rebrand themselves as a lunch and dinner option.
“We feel that the new site will really be a great site for accompanying the west side demand,” Ash said. “We’re excited to have a second location in the area.”
“You know that bridge that we have on Granada defines a lot of stuff,” Disch said. “Everybody talks like ‘oh that’s way over the bridge.’ We know that it defines a lot of our town and people on this side of the bridge will support us.”
