The Ormond Beach Police Department have determined the person found dead in the first block of China Moon Drive on Saturday, Sat. 16, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

They have identified the body as 28-year-old Broch D. Kutlusoy.

OBPD, along with aid from the Volusia County Bomb Team, discovered his body at his residence after responding to a possible shooting report Saturday afternoon. All residents surrounding the house in question were asked to evacuate while police dealt with the incident. Police also sent out a Code Red call advising others in the neighborhood to stay inside.

A crisis negotiator was unable to establish contact with anyone inside the residence, so OBPD requested the use of the Volusia County Bomb Team's robot, which went inside and found Kutlusoy.

This is a developing story.
