Four dogs, including two who were spotlighted last week, have been featured as this week's Halifax Humane Society Adoptable Pets of the Week.

The first is Harold, a 10-year-old terrier and American Staffordshire mix with a brown and white coat. He has been with the Halifax Humane Society since Dec. 24, 2018 — a total nine months — and is one of the dogs they've had the longest.

Harold has a tragic past. He was found by animal control tied to a tree by a heavy chain, and the house was set on fire. It took bolt cutters to cut him free. When he first arrived at the shelter, he was timid but has opened up tremendously since. His adoption fee has been paid for, and Harold now just needs a loving home in which to spend his senior years.

The second featured dog is Hershey, a 1-year-old terrier and American Staffordshire mix with a brown and white coat. He is a shy yet charming canine looking for a patient owner with a relaxed lifestyle. He has been with the Halifax Humane Society since Sept. 6, and his adoption fee costs $70.

Harold and Hershey were also featured last week.

The third dog is Dave, an 8-year-old terrier mix with a brown and tan coat. He is playful, trusting and curious, and he has been with the Halifax Humane Society for over 7 months, having come in Feb. 25. His adoption fee costs $35.

The fourth is Genny, an 11-month-old terrier and American Staffordshire mix with a black coat. She is a playful, happy-go-lucky dog looking for a forever home. She has been with the Halifax Humane Society since Sept. 17, and her adoption fee costs $100.
