Superheroes met with their everyday counterparts during Ormond Beach Police Department's annual National Night Out at the Nova Community Center on Tuesday, Aug. 6.

Ormond Beach joined the over 15,000 communities across the U.S. celebrating National Night Out to promote community and police partnership. This year's superhero themed event featured music, food, a photo booth, costume contests and more. Among the costumed vigilantes were OBPD's 10 Alpha1, McGruff the Crime Dog and the Chick-fil-A cow.

Here are 10 photos of the event.
