Police search for robbery suspect

The suspect entered the Check-n-Go, demanded cash, then fled on foot.

Ormond Beach police are looking for a suspect in a robbery that occurred Tuesday afternoon.

The suspect, a white male approximately 6-feet tall, with graying hair, entered the Check-n-Go, 347 W. Granada Blvd., around 1:40 p.m. and demanded cash from the clerk, police said.

The clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of money and the suspect fled on foot. There was no weapon seen, police said.

Ormond Beach police searched for the suspect with the help of Volusia County Sheriff’s Office patrols, helicopter and K-9 unit, but were unsuccessful.

The suspect was last seen wearing a green sweatshirt, possibly with a white long-sleeved shirt underneath and a black baseball cap, police said.
