Prince of Peace to hold 49th annual Octoberfest

The Prince of Peace Catholic Church's 49th annual Octoberfest Parish Festival will take place this coming weekend.

From Oct. 12-Oct. 15, attendees will have the chance to enjoy about 22 rides and 15 games, as well as food and beverage and various entertainment. The festival will be held on the Midway on church grounds located at 600 S. Nova Road.

The church is also partnering with Walgreens Corner Box Office this year to offer two unlimited ride wristbands. One costs $15 and can only be used on Thursday or Sunday, and the other costs $22 and can be used any day. Walgreens will also sell 40 half-price ride tickets for $22.

People may purchase wristband and tickets on the Midway throughout the festival. Thursday and Sunday wristbands cost $25 and Friday and Saturday wristbands cost $30. Ride tickets on the Midway cost $1 each. Walgreens coupons from last year’s cancelled event will be honored.

This festival has been held annually since 1969, with the exception of last year which was cancelled due to Hurricane Matthew.
