Bring last week’s edition of the Ormond Beach Observer to La Fiesta, at 348 N Nova Road, in The Trails, Wednesday, Oct. 3, and you will be helping to raise money for Project ROMP.

To assist in the group’s efforts to renovate the Magical Forest Rainbow Park playground on Nova Road, the restaurant has agreed to donate 10% of all of its proceeds 11:30 a.m. to close Wednesday, Oct. 3, to Project ROMP. All patrons have to do is present either a ROMP logo, or last week’s edition of the Observer, which featured a story about the Project on its front page.

This Friday, however, the park-renovation group will host a Magical Knight for Project ROMP dance party, for grades kindergarten to five, 6 p.m. at the Nova Community Center, 440 N Nova Road.

Tickets are $7 and include a hot dog and drink.

There will be games, prizes and a disk jockey. Children are encouraged to wear costumes, tiaras, knight helmets or formal dress.

Fundraising Coordinator Marianne Burley, who has been hand-making the event’s crafts, says she is using recycled paint from the dump, as well as cardboard boxes, to build castles and other decorations.
